Bloomin' Onion
Crystal & I had the opportunity to try out our local Madison Heights, MI Outback Steakhouse location. We went for lunch shortly after they opened at 11 am.
The Wallaby Darned
We asked our waiter for a drink recommendation. He suggested this popular one, The Wallaby Darned. The famous Australian peach bellini. Tickle your tongue with this frosty combination of peaches, champagne, SVEDKA Vodka and DeKuyper Peachtree Schnapps. It was so good. I can't wait to go back and order another one.
Aussie-Tizers
We started out with one of Crystal's favorites, a Bloomin' Onion. But we also wanted to try a new Aussie-Tizer so we picked a combo called the Great Barrier Trio, which included Coconut ShrimpCrab & Avocado Stack, & Seared Peppered Ahi. I liked the Crab & Avocado stack served with tortilla chips the best.
Parmesan-Herb Crusted Chicken
For my main course I choose the Parmesan-Herb Crusted Chicken along with the Signature Baked Potato Soup and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Originally this entree came with fresh seasonal mixed vegetables, but they let me substitute a different side. I was not impressed with the soup, but the chicken & potatoes were perfect and flavorful. I saved half of it for dinner that night.
Sweet Adventure Sampler Trio
We couldn't leave without sampling the dessert menu. I had the Sweet Adventure Sampler Trio. Three fabulous desserts, Chocolate Thunder From Down Under® with pecan brownie, Carrot Cake with coconut and pecans, and Classic Cheesecake. I was surprised that they give you full size pieces of each cake. I finished the chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. I took home the yummy carrot cake & cheesecake with raspberry sauce for later.
Crystal had the seasonal dessert. She said it was delicious.
