House Walking to Torch Calories

Have you heard of the hottest new workout? It's something that just about everyone can do. It doesn't matter if it's cold outside or if your house is small. This is a no excuse workout. It will get you toned and torch some calories. Can you guess what it is? It's called house walking.

I actually started doing this 11 years ago. Heck, I should of been the trend setter. When Michigan is too cold for me to leave the house, I house walk. I have seasonal depression and house walking is a great way to fight it.

I have a Fitbit. I try to hit the gym 3 days a week and walk 10,000 steps on three additional days. Does it always happen? No. Life sometimes gets in the way.

You don't even need to move fast if you're just starting out.  Just move at a comfortable pace. I save playing Trivia Crack for when I'm walking. I've actually become good at not really watching where I'm going. Shh, don't tell anyone I said that. My front room, kitchen, and great room are all really open, so I can go around and around.

My 10,000 steps works out to be about a 100 minutes of walking a day. I'm 5'3, so my steps are short. I burn about 300 calories per day by walking. When I'm getting all my steps in, it's super easy for me to maintain my healthy weight.

No more excuses that you can't afford the gym or it's too cold outside. Get up and house walk!
