Clean Eating Body Transformation

In April, we visited the Smokey Mountain. When I looked at pictures of myself I knew it was time for a change. One of my goals for myself is to see my abdominal muscles for my 40th birthday. Rachel from Core Nutrition and Fitness had posted a message on Facebook looking for people that wanted to change their bodies. My arm was raised high in the air because I was ready. Let me set the record straight. I was not doing this to lose weight. I was perfectly happy with my 5'3, 117 pounds in the morning self. But I want definition! I had no clue that clean eating was going to totally transform my body.

When I met up with Rachel she asked me, "What do I want (body-wise) and what do I eat?" I informed her, I wanted abs and my last meal of the day is usually around 2 pm. I was informed I would be eating all day long. All day long? How was I going to eat more and lose fat? I was going to have to trust her, which was very hard for a girl addicted to the scale. Also, I was going to have to rid myself of the notion that eating less means keeping a slim body.

I believe the most important part of sticking to clean eating is simply taking a picture of yourself wearing the same thing every two weeks. You will have days where you feel this isn't working. Go take a picture and compare from your first day. You will see results. So, say goodbye to the foods that leave you tired and ready for a nap. You will be eating lots of protein and drinking lots of water to flush out the fat. Also, say so long to hunger! You do not have to be hungry to be slim. This was news to me. You can eat every 2-3 hours and have an amazing body.

In the beginning, I craved chocolate desperately! Whatever your craving is, it shall pass. I honestly no longer have cravings. I've become so accustomed to eating this way that even when it's cheat meal day I find myself ordering a salad.  Let me add a disclaimer. I have not been 100% good lately because I'm very upset about having to move from my beautiful home. Don't fall into this emotional downfall. Food will not solve your problems, so you should try praying instead!

Are you ready to see my results? It's been a little over two months. I feel so much better. I don't suffer from mid-day food crashes and I feel much more leveled.
I had two large babies and had given up hope on my stomach changing. But guess what? It has and my belly button shape has also changed. Does it look like I'm slimmer? I actually weigh more in the second photo than I did in the first. Mind blowing isn't it?

I'm not where I want to be, but I'm getting really close. I had a rotator cuff injury that limited my workouts. As soon as I get settled and moved I will be back at the gym 3-4 days a week. Another amazing part? The results you see here are with almost no working out. Can you imagine if I was able to pump up my workout right now? I bet I would have my six pack sooner. It's coming, so I'm being patient because sometimes life gets in the way.
