Good Luck Dinner Party

Good Luck, Elephant, Hot Ref, party ideas. going away, planning, decorating, parties,
The elephant is a symbol of good luck in many cultures. Much honor is given to these majestically beautiful animals. I love planning parties. I think an elephant themed would be perfect for a good luck dinner party. In another month a ton of recent graduates will be leaving their families to go away to college.

I would ask that the women dress in a sari and the men in red and gold's which would make the guests look stunning in vibrant colors. A sari is a drape wrapped around the females waist baring her stomach with the end draped on her shoulder. It looks gorgeous.

I would have tents set up with traditional Indian food. The tents would be draped in red and gold. The picture above shows the "Good Luck" Gold Elephant Ruby Red Votive Candle Holder. They're only $1.03 a piece so I would load up on these and set them on the long family-styled tables to set the mood and for soft lighting.

Lucky Golden Elephant Place Card Holders (Set of 6)
Each dinner setting will have the Lucky Golden Elephant Place Holders. You can purchase them for $12.32 for a set of 6. These little cuties will jazz up the tables and would look fabulous with red table cloths.
Decorative Mini Gold Elephants
Before each guest leaves, they would each pick a Decorative Mini Gold Elephant. The guest may choose an elephant of prosperity, good luck, happiness or wealth. The guest would then give words of wisdom for whichever elephant he selected. For instance, if I chose the happiness elephant. I would tell the graduate that my advice is always to cancel out negative thoughts with positive ones.
