Alice Through Looking Glass 2016

I've been waiting; it seems like forever to see Alice Through the Looking Glass.  Finally, tonight, months after the theater release and finally making it to video, I had the chance to view it. I wish I had sat and watched Alice in Wonderland to refresh my memory, but I quickly caught on to what was going on in this brand new adventure!

Alice Through the Looking Glass Synopsis

Alice Kingsleigh (Wasikowska) has spent the past few years following in her father’s footsteps and sailing the high seas. Upon her return to London, she comes across a magical looking glass and returns to the fantastical realm of Underland and her friends the White Rabbit (Sheen), Absolem (Rickman), the Cheshire Cat (Fry) and the Mad Hatter (Depp), who is not himself. The Hatter has lost his Muchness, so Mirana (Hathaway) sends Alice on a quest to borrow the Chronosphere, a metallic globe inside the chamber of the Grand Clock which powers all time. Returning to the past, she comes across friends – and enemies – at different points in their lives, and embarks on a perilous race to save the Hatter before time runs out. Presented in Digital 3D™, Real D 3D, and IMAX® 3D, Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass” opens in U.S. theaters on May 27, 2016.

Alice: Why, don't you mean impossible?
Door: No, I do mean impassible. (chuckles) Nothing's impossible!”

My thoughts on the film.

I enjoyed this movie. I loved all the colors, costumes, and makeup. This film was visually appealing due to all of the bright colors. I also liked the little morals in the story. Especially, how you can't change the past. I thought it was perfect for children.

My favorite character was Time. I'm a huge fan of Sacha Cohen movies! He played a great role! He was the highlight for me, in the film, because he was funny and I was enchanted with his blue eyes.

I recommend this movie for ages six and up. I don't think there were any terrible scary parts, but I'm not sure this film would hold the attention span of small children. So grab your family and make it a family movie night! I give this film 3.5 out of 5 stars!
