Free Comic Book Day Saturday May 2, 2015

My kids in 2014 at Warp 9 in Clawson, MI & in 2013 at Comics & More in Madison Heights, MI.

This Saturday May 2nd is "Free Comic Book Day". I take my kids to this event every year to pick out some new free comics. This is a great way to introduce your child to reading comics or even to get them more interested in reading in general. My youngest likes Halloween themed comics, my middle daughter likes the graphic novel type, and my son likes the Wolverine or Zombie ones. Parents can get free comics, too. I'm a big fan of The Walking Dead comic series. I like to compare what happens in the tv show versus the comic books.
With 50 titles available to choose from, there’s a story for everyone to enjoy!

See all of the 2015 FCBD comics here. Sometimes individual stores add extra free comics or hold special events. We usually see a few people cosplaying, so feel free to show up in your favorite comic t-shirt or costume.

Share your Free Comic Book Day experience on the Free Comic Book Day Facebook page, Twitter, and/or Instagram to be entered to win a $50 gift certificate to your local comic shop. Find out how to enter here.
