Yesterday, I was truly excited to go see a Broadway show. I hadn't seen one since The Phantom of the Opera in Toronto, many years ago.

I grew up watching All In The Family. I remember loving Sally Struthers' long blond hair. I use to watch the show nightly with my Mom. So, I was really excited to get dressed up to head to the Fox Theatre with my husband and his Aunt.
As you can tell from the video above the show was excellent.  Sally Struthers surprised me by having such a good voice.  She was also extremely funny. She was perfect for the role of a busy body matchmaker.

My favorite scene was her sitting at a kitchen table and stuffing her face with food. The food was flying out of her mouth each time she spoke.  It was hilarious.

The cast and the costumes were excellent. They worked together like a well oiled machine. I'm always looking for a mess up, but the show was flawless.

A few times the spot light would go off of the character, they would have to freeze and stay still while another scene was being acted out. They amazed me by staying absolutely still.  Sally Struthers held two fingers perfectly still for at least 3 minutes without even moving.

Who hasn't heard the wonderful tunes from Hello Dolly? I remember singing Hello, Dolly! in choir. Check out some Hello, Dolly! tunes on Amazon.

Would I recommend this show? Yes! It was nice having an evening out without bad language and inappropriate content. It was very refreshing!
Here is a full description of  Hello, Dolly!:
Two-time Emmy Award winner Sally Struthers stars as the strong-willed matchmaker Dolly, who travels to Yonkers, New York, to find a match for the ornery "well-known unmarried half-a-millionaire" Horace Vandergelder.
Best known for her work as Gloria in the legendary television series All in the Family and more recently as Babette on Gilmore Girls, Struthers’ career has spanned four decades. In addition to her ubiquitous TV career, she has sparkled on the musical theater stage nationwide with featured roles in  Broadway productions of Annie, Grease and The Odd Couple, and regionally in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Mame and Hello, Dolly!.
With an irresistible story and an unforgettable score including the title song, “Put on Your Sunday Clothes,” “It Only Takes a Moment,” and the show-stopping “Before the Parade Passes By,” Hello, Dolly! has been charming audiences around the world for 50 years.
The brand new dazzling production starring Sally Struthers is not be missed, as she reprises the role that led The Florida Times – Union to rave “Sally Struthers shines in ‘Hello, Dolly!’. She is a force of nature…and charms a lot!”
