Mom Among Chaos was given complimentary tickets and a hotel room in exchange for a review. All opinions are 100% our own. #BloggingatCP #IHeartCP #Travel
Stephanie and I recently took our oldest daughters to Hotel Breakers and Cedar Point. We had a fabulous time. Both of our families are huge fans of the hotel and amusement park after our visit last year. We always make such great memories with our kids while we are there. When you enter the park your kids change from arguing and fighting to become these well behaved, fun loving angels. Why? Because some of the best childhood memories come from Cedar Point.

We stayed at Hotel Breakers for the first time during the Bloggy Conference in September 2014. I loved the convenience of being able to take breaks when we got tired at the park. Hotel Breakers is located just outside the park and they stamp your hand at the exit, so you can come in and out of the park all day. Since I discovered this amazing convenience, I always want to have hotel reservations when I visit Cedar Point.

Standard room with 2 Queen-size beds
Over the winter, Hotel Breakers was remodeled. Stephanie and I were incredibly excited to check out the newly remodeled hotel. As you can see from the above picture, Hotel Breakers has a fun, new look. It's colorful, elegant, hip, and vintage. I loved the Ferris Wheel headboards. There were little pops of color everywhere. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are fairly soundproof to help you get a good night's sleep. We liked watching the LCD tv, having a fridge to store our drinks, and a microwave to warm up leftovers.

The above collage shows some of my favorite features. I really loved the lighting and decor in the five-story rotunda room. It felt very ritzy. I loved how everything was vintage. I liked the girl diving painting. You should check out the historic artwork throughout the hotel. If you enjoy art, make sure you take a journey around the entire resort.

The outside area of Hotel Breakers was also updated. I loved the fire pits. They were gorgeous with carousel horses on them. I liked that the beach was equipped with lots of seating. You have the choice of sitting on the beach, around the heated outdoor pool, or the outdoor hot tub. There is also an indoor pool and hot tub for when it's stormy or chilly. There is even a water play area with slides for the little tikes. The best part? The view of Lake Erie is spectacular.

Since we were staying at Hotel Breakers, that meant we got one hour earlier entry into the park. Cedar Point has a list of rides you can get on one hour before the rest of the park opens. This means no lines! Of course, we had to ride the most popular rides first thing. The first ride we rode was the Gatekeeper. This was my new favorite last year. My daughter, Faith, loved it. Next, we hit the new ride Rougarou. It reminded me of the Mantis, but with a different cart. Finally, before the Cedar Point doors were even officially open, we hopped into the line for Millennium Force. Millennium Force became my favorite of this trip. It's so smooth and fast.

If you like "extreme rides" there are two rides that I rode that I considered scary. I know some people love being scared. I thought the Maverick was really intense. The sharp flips, twists, and turns are something that I never had experienced on a ride before. I also felt that the SkyHawk was scary. I had to close my eyes.

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Breakers and Cedar Point. My daughter is counting the days until we visit again in September. Start planning your family getaway today online at Hotel Breakers!
