I had the chance to check out The Case for Hope by Lee Strobel. I was kind of surprised that this was a very technical book, but it was technical in a good way, for the non-believers. The Case for Hope goes through and gives concrete evidence why Jesus exists. It was written by someone that didn't originally believe in the Lord.
What is life without hope? Jesus died on the cross so we would have hope in this life and in the next. When we don't have hope we slowly wither away. Our soul and spirit will die without it.

"Faith is the decision to trust and follow Jesus Christ, and it need not ebb and flow based on how emotionally charged we feel"
If you're feeling overwhelmed and hopeless here are the "Five As" from the book to rediscovering hope. To learn more in detail, you can purchase the book from this link.

1. Admit the you're weak without God.
2. Affirm God's power and presence.
3. Align yourself with God's will.
4. Ask God for the power you need.
5. Act in obedience to God.
I included the two outdoor pictures above because they give me hope. When I look at nature all around me I find an incredible sense of God and his beautiful handiwork. I just have to look out my window and I see God. Also, looking at my daughters gives me a glimpse of God. They were so perfectly made by the hand of our creator.

I heard someone say that you can't see the wind or oxygen, but you always know they are there. We don't see God, but he is there by our side. All we need to do is call to him.

Would I recommend The Case for Hope? I would recommend this for someone who is not confident in their faith and is looking for answers. It's very technical and at some points it was hard to hold my attention. The best part of the book is in the back there is a 30-day hope journal. Each day it gives you a message to meditate on and then you let God lead you to write in the given space. I plan on doing the 30-day journal.
