I had the chance to review Power Words What You Say Can Change Your Life by Joyce Meyer. I've always been a huge fan of hers. I listen to her podcasts quite frequently for her words of wisdom. I love her distinctive personality. She always makes me laugh. I'm going through a rough season right now, so I little Joyce Meyer is what I needed.

Powers Words is about how you choose to talk about the circumstances surrounding your life. It's about skipping the complaining and talking about the positive things. Let's face it we all have a reason to complain. Heck, I have a ton of complaints. But, if we focus on all of the negative things we're not making room for the positive to come shining in.

Proverbs 18:21 teaches us that power of life and death are on the tongue. If you think about it, it's the truth. Our words are dangerous weapons if we don't choose them wisely!

"Although God often calls us to launch out into something new, He usually does not let us know what is going to happen on the way. We leave the security of where we are and head for the blessings of the other side, but in the middle, we often encounter the storms." I love this quote. I've been in a storm for awhile. It's been a rocky ride for us lately, but I know there is a rainbow waiting for us. If we just hold on a little longer.

Would I recommend this book? Yes, it's great for someone that talks negatively about themselves. This book teaches you to think about your thoughts and words. I give Power Words 3 out of 5 stars.
