Elf The Musical Review

I received tickets to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

Last night my family attended Elf the Musical at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. Elf is one of my favorite movies, so I was excited!

My daughter and husband.
Both of my girls are involved in the theater, so it's a treat for them to get to see a show they're not in. It makes them appreciate everything. Right away, my eyes went to the fantastic scenery and props used in this musical. I loved the snowflakes and the paintings on the set.

The singing and dancing in the show were fantastic. I didn't catch one little slip. Along with the singing was a live orchestra. It was extraordinary to hear live music with the talented singing.

I had to ask my family what was their favorite parts from the show. My husband, Matt, enjoyed the dance numbers the most. My ten-year-old daughter loved Buddy the best. My teenager loved the adult humor. Why does that not surprise me? I enjoyed watching the talent. I don't think anyone can compare to Will Ferrell in the role of Buddy, though.

Here are a few tips. This production is not a junior show so if you bring small children beware. You will find there is foul language and quite a bit of adult humor. I wouldn't quite put the show as PG-13. The language is comparable to something you would see on network television.

Should you see this show? Yes, hurry and pick up your tickets using the below information before this show is gone!
