When I had kids, I knew right away I would put them in swim lessons. I started both of my girls in lessons before they could even walk. I wanted them to grow up safe and comfortable in the water. 

Taking swimming lessons once a week is great but did you know what's even better for kids? Taking swim lessons multiple days a week! I'm going to explain why.

5 Benefits of Swimming Multiple Days a Week

1. Muscle Memory
Swimming more than once a week will help your body maintain muscle memory easier. Our bodies actually remember how we worked the muscle so if you or your child is sick for a week or two don't worry your body will remember where you left off making it easier to start back up again.

2. Repetition
How do we learn new things? By repetition! The more days you can devote to swimming lessons the quicker you will learn because there is less downtime between lessons to forget what you learned! Remind yourself of a task that use to be hard for you in the beginning. Swimming takes dedication! Repeat, repeat, repeat!!!

3. Get in Shape
Swimming once a week is good for you. Swimming multiple days a week is even better! You don't just work your body when you swim, but you work your brain as well. Start 2018 off right, and get in shape with the fantastic benefits of swimming.

4. Move up a level quicker
Let's be honest we all love being rewarded in some way. I remember when my kids were taking swimming lessons, and they would move up a level it was so exciting! When you sign up for swim lessons multiple days a week, your child will progress faster.

5. Improved Mood
 Kids don't get much physical activity during the day to help improve their mood. They usually sit at a desk all day, and many children have issues sitting still. So, when they come home, they're either bouncing off the walls or tired from not moving all day. The best thing I find is to get your kid moving. Signing them up for swimming a few days a week will help improve their mood, and you may even see a positive change in their school work!
