“Superhero Summer Camp” Tour 2013
Earlier this year, Plum Organics launched their social impact program, The Full Effect™ focused on nourishing babies and toddlers in need here in the US. As a key part of this initiative, Plum designed an essential nutrition pouch product called the Super Smoothie, which aims to ease the nutritional deficiencies often experienced in food insecure little ones. Plum has pledged to donate at least a half million Super Smoothies in 2013 through their national network of non-profit and regional community partners.
Beginning in June 2013, Plum will be participating in a series of events throughout the country where the 500,000 Super Smoothies will be distributed to communities in need. To complement the big community events hosted by Plum’s national partners, such as Convoy of Hope, Plum will also be hand delivering some of their Super Smoothies to community partners in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City and San Antonio, while the Plum team is on the road for Camp Amazing.
Additionally, during Camp Amazing, children will participate in a series of Amazing activities, one of which is a pledge to “Do Amazing” in their communities. For every child that pledges to “do amazing”, Plum will donate incremental Super Smoothies* in each child’s honor – a donation that will be celebrated at Plum’s end of summer event in Los Angeles on August 25th.
