A GIRL LIKE HER: Sophomore year has been a nightmare for Jessica Burns. I'm a big fan of locally made films and theater. My daughter has been in theater productions for the last 3 years. She is playing Nana in Peter Pan Jr. this weekend. As a mom of a tween daughter, I can see the "mean girl" attitudes already starting in school and online. At one point this year a friend of my daughter's said she didn't want to be friends anymore. My daughter was heartbroken at that time, but they are friends again now. I hope this movie helps some girls to treat each other better.
