Stephanie and I were privileged to attend our first red carpet event at the Emagine Theater in Novi, Michigan. We also reviewed the movie Golden Shoes. It was exciting being able to interview our very first movie stars. First, let's talk about the locally made film Golden Shoes!

GOLDEN SHOES: The Greatest Goal is Believing. As long as he could remember, eight-year-old Christian Larou (Christian Koza) dreamed of being a great soccer player like his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo. When his father is deployed to Afghanistan and his mother is hospitalized, he pours himself into the game he loves. With the help of some very special shoes, can Christian lead his team to the championship, inspire an entire nation, and bring his family together again?

Eric Roberts (THE DARK KNIGHT), Dina Meyer (STARSHIP TROOPERS), David DeLuise (“Wizards Of Waverly Place”), Montel Williams (“JAG”), Aedin Mincks (“A.N.T. Farm”), Vivica A. Fox (INDEPENDENCE DAY) and John Rhys-Davies (THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY) co-star in this feel-good family hit where believing in yourself is the greatest goal of all.

I was so excited that this movie had such big named actors for a local movie! Go Michigan! Look who was also there, our very own Roop Raj with his gorgeous wife. Roop had a part in the film as a news anchor.
Stephanie even interviewed Montel William! We have a video but need to have our video savvy daughters work their magic on it. I just had to tell Montel that his voice was very soothing to me since I grew up watching him. I even had the opportunity twice to pose for a picture with him, but fate had a different plan for me since the camera didn't shoot, not once but twice. The weird thing is I haven't had a problem with it since.
So, what did I think of the movie? It's a great family friendly movie. There is only one bad word in the entire film. It has a very positive theme and humor that kids will love. I would give it 3 out of 5 stars.

You can watch Golden Shoes On Demand, or buy it on DVD in stores October 6, 2015. Buy it for your whole family to enjoy together!
