February is the month of love. I've been blessed with three loves of my life. My husband and my kids. I couldn't just pick one because we are family. 

Is my life perfect? Anything but, most days it's a hot mess of arguing over who gets to shower first or what movie we are going to watch. Anyone that portrays the perfect life I worry about. Are they communicating? Are they putting on a show? Well, I'm glad to tell you my loves of my life are imperfect.

Relationships take work! I can honestly say I love my husband more today than when I married him. Over the years we've worked out many kinks, and we work out more as they come along (teenagers).

My husband is my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, the listening ear I need daily. He's the one that makes me set boundaries and sees my worth. He's the one that tells terrible jokes and is obsessed with karate and politics. He's definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but he's mine. 



My kids when they were born showed me what a fierce mother's love is like. The love for your kids is strong and ferocious. 


Love is a learning process. Being a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend takes practice, patience, and the ability to make changes when you're wrong. When my kids were newborns, I would remind myself that they've never been a baby before just like I've never been their mother before. Love includes grace.

Honestly, the most romantic thing my husband can do for me and does occasionally do is help me out. If you see something that needs to be done, do it without being asked. Trust me I notice. Also, I love our lunch dates. Keep them rolling along.
