Disclosure: I received something of value from Family Christian. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Full policy here.

I was excited to check out Magnetic. I was even more excited when I realized that the author was a speaker from Proverbs 31 Ministries.  I enjoy listening to them on K-Love. I love continually feeding my spiritual side.  I feel it helps me grow, in so many different ways.

This book is a wonderful guide for those in high school or college. I really wish I had this book in my early twenties.  I know that so many girls lose themselves during that time. They revolve their lives around friends and boys, which often leads to much bigger problems. Magnetic shows us that God has a much bigger, brighter path for us if we just follow his will, instead of our own.

How do you become the girl that God wants you to be? This book walks you through 9 different characteristics, known as the fruit of the spirit. The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Each section features quizzes, so you know where you are lacking, and some great exercises to become a Magnetic girl.

How will this book help me? This book will help you move past negative thinking and gain confidence.  It will assist you when dealing with "girl drama".  It will also open your eyes and help you see that your boyfriend just might not be the one for you.

Would I recommend this book? Yes, but only for a specific age group.  Although you can take pieces from the whole book at any age and apply if to your life.  This book in my feeling is meant for high school and college students.  It was written for those just beginning to stand on their own two feet and deal with more mature subjects, such as a boyfriend and confidence.

Where can you buy this book? You can pick it up at Family Christian. It's a great gift to anyone in high school or college.

Mom Among Chaos is giving away a $10 Family Christian gift certificate. Enter in the form below. Ends 12/20/14.
