Easter is such a beautiful holiday. It reminds us that God gave us his only son to save us from our sins. This lovely gesture brings me tears when I attend the Good Friday service at church.

Easter Traditions & Picnic Set Giveaway
My family has a few Easter traditions. Every year (up until this year) we did an Easter egg hunt. I'm a little bit of a trickster. When my kids were little, I would find wrappers shoved into the couch. I would save them and make dud eggs. Can you imagine seeing your own trash in an egg? Well, I'm totally not mean mom, so there are also money eggs and candy eggs to be discovered.
When my girls were younger, I would have so much fun allowing them to pick out dresses. Some years they even had matching dresses. This phase did not last long, so I tell everyone I know if your kids let you dress them enjoy it.
Every Easter we eat together with my family. I love the special dinners I share with them. I love the warmth and love I feel when we all are together.
This year will be the first year without the egg hunt or Easter baskets. I have teenagers now. Things are a little different. You wouldn't catch them in a frilly dress, or running for eggs. We will be together with friends and family, and I'm sure there will be lots of laughter and warmth. Things may change, but family remains.
