Thanks for joining me for 5 things on Friday were I fill you in on my weekly happenings. It's been spring break week over here and let me tell you the weather has stunk. I'm ready to hop on a plane and head to the sunny state. Make sure to watch all of my fun happening on Facebook and Instagram.

1. My kids have been off all week for spring break. We have a timeshare, and it didn't land on our spring break this year so I will be pulling them from school next week. Yes, I'm a terrible mom.

2. Back in the day, I was OBSESSED with Twilight. We're talking I made shirts, went to all of the midnight book and movie releases. I was a die-hard fan. I had never connected with a book like I did with this one. I know most people find it a silly story, but it reminds me of when I was 17 and the first time I fell in love along with the horrible heartbreak I experienced.

Anyways, my daughter Keira has been reading the first book for months. She refused to watch the movie until she read the book. When she finally finished it her and my oldest were watching it, and I became all entwined with the story again. During the week we watched the first three movies. She's mad at me because I won't let her watch the final two films until she's older.

3. I drove out to Novi this week to meet some old friends at the Cheesecake Factory. It was nice to catch up and oh how I had missed the Godiva cheesecake.

4. Girls, I've gone nine weeks without dying my hair due to my upcoming trip. My hair is probably 50% silver. My plan is to wait until I'm almost all silver and then dye it that color. Anyway, my little root touch up spray has been abused. I've used so much of it I have this crazy build upon my hair. I can't wait to get it fixed tomorrow.

5.  I almost forgot to mention Easter. Our Easter this year was sort of depressing. Matt was sick, so he had to stay home. Thus, the kids and I went to my mom's without him. It wasn't the same, but we will be officially starting our spring break soon with the warm sunny weather, so all is well!
