Aqua-Tots Swim Club

This blog post is sponsored. All opinions are my own.

By now, the kids are bored and probably starting to get on your last nerve. They TRY to spend hours a day on their electronics. It's a battle to get them outside. Are you tired of them acting like slugs? Well, get them up, out and join Aqua-Tots Swim Club

Aqua-Tots Swim Club

Our Swim Club program is a 12-week program that focuses on a different stroke or skill each week. The 12 weeks culminates in a quarterly swim meet (off-site, usually at a local high school pool) where the children compete in different events against their teammates and swim club students at other Aqua-Tots in our area. Part of the swim meet is also a starts clinic where the students get to learn and practice diving starts off the walls and blocks. In swim club, the students are focusing on technique of all 4 competitive strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle) as well as proper competitive flip turns and open turns, endurance and breath control while racing to name a few. Swim club students are timed in each stroke and encouraged to "race" themselves to gain a better time each session. These times from practice are used to break the children into heats and specific events in the swim meet to be as fair as possible. To be qualified to become a member of our swim club your child must be at least a level 7 in our program (preferably a level 8). They need to have a strong understanding and foundation of all 4 strokes, the endurance to swim at least 100 yards (4 lengths of our pool) and proper flip turns. Every child starts out in our beginner swim club and based on performance times, technique and availability at their chosen school they can move up through our swim club program into the intermediate and advanced clubs.  This is a great program for those who are looking to compete competitively, challenge themselves or for those who swim on teams over the summer but want to keep their skills fresh over the winter when many of the outdoor pools who have swim clubs are closed.

Aqua-Tots Swim Club is fabulous! Not only will your child make new friends but they will gain so many benefits from working on their swimming skills.
