5 Things on Friday

Good morning. It's Friday, yay! I'm sitting here with my coffee and reflecting a little bit on my week. Let me fill you in on the latest.

1. I love this weather. A little bit of sun totally brightens my mood. I even wore capris to work yesterday. Yes, I received a few weird looks, but I don't care. I was enjoying every minute of it. It's usually always a good day when the sun is shining.

2. If you know me, you know that my three hobbies are eating out, shopping and traveling. Wow, those are all expensive hobbies. This is the first year in as long as I can remember that we aren't going someplace warm for spring break.

This year we're doing kind of a staycation between our two houses. Of course, there still will be lots of adventures, food and trying new places. I let each kid plan a day. It looks like we will be doing some archery (my shoulder is still not 100% I will be watching) and CJ Barrymore's.

My primary goal is to get a few projects done at the beach house before the rental season starts. I want to update our home a little each year.

3. We took the kids to see Five Feet Apart. It was a good movie. Keira had asked to see it a while back, but when I learned that Justin Baldoni from Jane the Virgin made it, I was geeked. Keira sobbed and immediately came home and ordered the book. Go see it!

4. I started my second week back weightlifting. I stopped lifting in November when my shoulder froze. My first week I was sore for 5 days. This week hasn't been as bad. I'm so excited to be back in the swing of things. I still can't work my shoulder, but things are going well. Seriously, I'm feeling great with the lifting and all of the walking and carrying I do with Shipt.

5. Both of my girls are back in karate and enjoying it. I love that they will know how to defend themselves. Well, that and ninja dad spoils them. Heck, I should join (not really). They usually get bagels, eat somewhere cool in Clarkston and have ice cream. Someone is jealous over here while she's working.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. We have a jammed pack weekend as normal. One of these days I'm going to have a sit and do nothing weekend.
