5 Things on Friday

Welcome! Grab a cup of joe, and let's catch up. My life has been hectic, so I haven't been writing much. I'm praying that by Christmas, everything is back to our new normal.

1. My oldest has had a ton going on this week. Faith has been taking phase 2 of driver's ed, she had PSAT, and we've been getting ready for homecoming, which is tonight. We've had quite a bit of fun girl time. We went and had our nails done together, and this morning is hair.

2. I started booking my trip to Hawaii. I rented a condo in Maui and Kauai, so we will be spending two weeks. I also booked our first flight and car. Since this is a once in a lifetime trip, I've had a little fun with it. Our flight to Maui, I upgraded us to comfort seating since Matt's legs are so long. Well, that and there are free cocktails. I'm not going to lie I hate flying, and this seemed like a nice bonus. We rented a convertible for Maui. I thought the road to Hana would be fun to do in it.

3. Our addition will be done in about two weeks. It's been a long road. We broke ground on 7/1. I hate to say this, but I'm tired of picking everything out. I had to make decisions even as small as where the floor plugs will go. We can't move until we have a completed bathroom. We are doing the main bathroom and bedrooms ourselves, and it's been a slow go. I'm hoping we will be in right before Christmas.

4. Through the miracle of technology and one of my best friends making a new friend, I was able to facetime my sponsor girl this week. Faith and I really enjoyed it. I really should take some Spanish lessons, so when I do make it over there, there is less of a language barrier.

5. I'm a MOPS/MOPS NEXT table leader again this year, and I have a few people I don't know well. I'm extremely excited. I love getting to know new people!

Let me know in the comments what you're doing this weekend!
