5 Things on Friday 5/22/20

This blog post is sponsored. All opinions are 100% my own.

1. In the last few weeks, I've started allowing the girls to hang out with friends again. I've decided we can't hide in a bubble forever. Also, for the first time in a long time, I'm finding myself politically driven. I believe our rights are being taken away. If you want to shelter at home, go for it! If you want to go out and open your business well, good for you! I understand that we were doing it to flatten the curve. We've been there and done that. Now let's move on before Michigan is devastated with so many losses of small businesses.

2. I made an offer this week on another beach house. Our goal was to be by a better beach, be able to bring our boat, and have more room. We offered over asking price, but someone came in with cash. I'm slightly bummed but, on the other hand, relieved because the thought of dealing with connecting another sewer to the city is a pain in the butt. We finished connecting in the fall and just had a walkway and driveway put in.

3. It's official; I have a daughter that is now a senior in high school. She finally has her hours in to get her driver's license, but nothing is open, so she can't take her final test. I feel for kids graduating right now. My youngest is finishing her last year in middle school at home. My heart breaks for her because she wants to be at school.

4. Well, I ended up moving my two weeks in Hawaii! I didn't want to pay that much and not have a full Hawaiian experience. So, next year when Faith graduates from high school, we will be hopping on a plane for our dream vacation. It will also be my 20th anniversary and the perfect time to do a beach vow renewal ceremony. Yep, I have another year to work on becoming more muscular and eyeing the bikinis at the Cupshe!!

5. I'm missing my friends and going out to eat. Most of all, laughing with my girlfriends. Yes, Zoom and Marco Polo aren't quite the same. I have to say there have been some blessings in all of this. Matt and I have fun playing Skip-Bo 4 games a day. Also, I've seen a shift in the girls. At one time, they would throw fits about going to the beach house. Now they can't wait to get out of the house for a little bit. I'm also loving living next to my parents and the beautiful views around our home in the woods.
